Trae Turner
Marketing Director
Commander of Strategy
Trae Turner is the person who keeps refreshing the results page when a marketing campaign launches. She’s obsessed with goals and always finds a way to exceed them.
She grew up in Oklahoma and has always been a balanced, busy bee who enjoys oh what beautiful mornings and oh what beautiful days. In school, Trae was involved in tennis, band, dance, cheerleading, Girl Scouts and constantly wrote poetry. Her mother, a cartographer at the University of Oklahoma, inspired her artistic side. And her father, a Nissan car dealership owner, fueled her entrepreneurial spirit.
Driven by her love for reading and creative writing, she studied English Communications and Political Science while attending William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. These disciplines laid the foundation for her desire to share rich stories from diverse perspectives.
Trae has a wealth of experience and accomplishments across multiple industries. Her career spans roles in public relations on Capitol Hill, transforming communications for a national architectural association and leading a financial news company through a successful digital transition. Trae has led marketing teams for three financial technology companies, founded her own marketing and communications company and co-founded an app development startup.
An advocate for diversity and inclusion, she is also a founding member of Charlottesville Women in Tech, championing opportunities for women and girls in the tech industry.
Her expertise and leadership make her an invaluable asset as Estland’s Marketing Director. She leads the charge in driving strategic marketing initiatives for our clients, seamlessly balancing high-level strategy development, expert project management and attentive account management to deliver campaigns that consistently exceed expectations.
I believe in strategy work. Be the chess player, not the chess piece.
Trae loves reading—but, like, actually. Her thriving book club even has its own website to help its members track the authors, titles and restaurants they’ve met at. (Trae designed and developed the website, obviously.) She lives in Nellysford, VA, with her fiancée, Jen. They embrace the close proximity to dozens of wineries, breweries and live music on the 151 and often travel for weekend getaways to catch a baseball game and explore new cities.
