Courtney Hardesty
Content Marketing & Engagement
Chief Executive Extroverted Introvert
If it has to do with marketing, chances are Courtney does it. A creative force behind Estland’s content creation and relationship building, Courtney wears many hats at Estland (and wears each of them well).
Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Courtney’s childhood dream was becoming an Egyptologist, uncovering ancient secrets in faraway lands. Yet, due to her innate love for the arts, her career goals shifted during her school years as she was heavily involved in theater and dance. This comes as no surprise as both her parents are artists, and their finesse in the fine arts flows in her veins.
Courtney was encouraged to pursue anything and everything growing up, and her inner child still believes in the magic of all possibilities. (She still claims Egyptologist is on the table!) When her path led her to James Madison University, it was an easy decision to major in Graphic Design because it combined her passions for creativity and technology.
As a creator raised in the Shenandoah Valley, I love applying my passions for visual storytelling and service into everything I do.
After graduating, Courtney devoted over ten years as a graphic designer for Massanutten Resort, taking their brand to the next level. In this role, she honed her skills in design, creative consultation and project management while crafting print designs, photography, social media and web content for the four-season resort. Her broad experience and skillset make Courtney the perfect person to engage with our community and create compelling content for our clients.
Courtney is a busy, busy bee. She’s been a member of Rocktown Rotary for years and regularly serves the community through her affiliation with the club. She also works with a local real estate group as a licensed Real Estate Agent. Courtney’s an enthusiastic supporter of JMU football and cheers on the Dukes every Saturday. But after her busy days, you can find her zenning out in hot yoga classes or grabbing lattés from local coffee shops.
