Nonprofit marketing is immensely rewarding. Nothing feels better than helping a deserving initiative promote its products and services to support the community where you live and work. Our team is passionate about creating vivid and inspiring branding, websites, messaging and digital ads that transform these much-needed organizations. Over the past several years, Maureen Bowler (Mo) from the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board (HRCSB) has been a valued partner of Estland. She’s a grant-writing wizard who has brought more funds into the community to support vital infrastructure and we’re incredibly proud to help her through each phase of her projects.
The Healthy Community Collaborative (HCC) was established in 1996 to conduct assessments on community needs. Their work is vital to the Harrisonburg community, but their branding and messaging didn’t align with their vision. That’s where Mo and Estland came together to create a fresh, vibrant, and long-lasting brand that inspires other nonprofits to collaborate with them and improve the community we know and love.
Estland collaborated with the HCC team to create a happy and friendly logo that is symbolic of connection, care and positivity. The modern logo icon was built from a concept of two hands cradling the center circle representing our community. The color palette supports their mission, embracing the calming blues associated with nature, creativity and calmness often used in the healthcare industry, with a bright orange which often symbolizes warmth and positivity. Custom photography and videography humanize the organization and showcase the team serving real people in the real community where they live and work.
The Healthy Community Collaborative’s mission is to end health disparities in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Translating that mission into additional supporting language that clarifies how the organization fulfills its mission requires a deft hand. That’s where Estland stepped in to support Mo in crafting additional web content that effectively communicates their services and value. Our team collaborated closely with her to create highly readable, benefit-driven statements that emphasize the organization’s impact on the community as a whole. The additional language is optimized for search engines and resonates with the organizations, agencies and residents in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, VA.
Mo knew she wanted the new website to be one of the main points of contact for area nonprofits, agencies and community members to learn more about the organization and become a collaborator. With that in mind, Estland designed a forward-focused website with two primary calls to action that allow the browser to reach out and learn more or become a collaborator through an easy, quick-fill form. This allows their small team to manage the organizational needs in the most efficient way possible. Highlighting the data from their assessments and the organizations collaborating with them means their services and value are at the forefront of the web experience and act as an effective marketing tool to boost exposure and engagement.
